Past and Present

Past and present are one in the same. If you look at your past you can clearly see the patterns of your doings. So why blame others for your failures and lack of success when all you have to do is analyze your pattern of behavior and chart a new path for success.
I met a young girl by the name of Molly at a local Library couple of weeks ago. Molly was tall, slim with a British accent. Molly sat at my table reading a book on entrepreneurialism. Her cellphone rang and she answered, "It's Molly here, oh yes, I did apply for the receptionist position". Molly face light up when she found out the potential employer was interested in her but towards the end of the conversation her face transformed and she abruptly got up from the table while leaving behind her purse and notebooks. A few minutes later, Molly came back to the table thanking me for looking after her belongings.
I asked is everything okay, and she said no not really. Molly proceeded to say, "I graduated college couple of years ago and for some odd reason I cannot find employment". After Molly explained her dilemma, I   remained quiet searching for soothing words that will ease her discomfort. Molly you will find something soon, have you thought about volunteering? Molly looked at me and said Miss I have a $224,000 student loan looming over my head, I have no time for volunteering. Molly kept looking at her cellphone while tears ran down from her face profusely, I kept thinking to myself where did Molly go wrong in her career. Molly has a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, a Masters degree in Education and throughout the course of her career she mentioned that she accepted job offers unrelated to her field of study because most employers in her field said she did not have the required experience that they were looking for. Molly felt that her past decisions in accepting jobs not related to her field of study created her present situation of being a high risk hire.

What advice can you give to Molly?
